If your Let’s Start Coding board is not connecting to your web browser, first ensure that you have only one tab of the www.letsstartcoding.com website open. Multiple tabs of our website may “compete” for the connection with your board.

The video below shows how to remove and reset the connection between your board and your web browser. You may have many “FT230…” items in your connections list; delete all of them if you do. You may only have one “FT230…” item, and you’ll only need to delete that one item from the connections list.

After you have reset the connections and reloaded the page, click “Upload Your Code” from the code editor. A box should pop up prompting you to select a connection. If there are multiple items in that list, select the “FT230…” item. If you have multiple “FT230…” items in that list, ensure you only have one Let’s Start Coding kit connected to your computer, and try again.

The Let’s Start Coding support team may also direct you to check on the Chrome web browser USB device connection. To do that, start with your board unplugged from the USB cable. Type chrome://usb-internals into a new tab of the Chrome browser, where you typically type a web address. Open a new tab and type chrome://device-log into that tab’s address bar.

The video below shows you how to clear those pages before you plug in your board. Once you do plug in your board, you can refresh those pages to see if your device is recognized by the computer.
