What's the Best Way to Teach Code?

At Let's Start Coding, we've reversed the way beginners learn code. Rather than starting with a blank screen, a large textbook, and abstract concepts, we think beginners need fun projects, working code, and lots of examples.

Why?

Most engineers didn't start their first project by building something from nothing. They started by taking something apart.

Code should be the same way.

Using our example code projects, you can experiment, break, modify, and rebuild code that was written by an experienced programmer.

Along the way, you'll see the abstract concepts in action. If you want to learn more, head to the "Code" section of the page where we explain each concept more deeply. If you want to experiment until you've patched together something new, great!

By choosing your own route of learning, you'll have more fun and build more creatively. Even if you've never programmed before, our kits will get you going with over 30 example projects and in-depth walk-throughs of each program. Give it a try!
